Types of pets that are apartment friendly
For some people, having a pet is one of the best parts of life. Domesticated animals offer companionship that is unlike any other relationship. Unfortunately, some living situations do not allow for some pets. Apartment complexes are known for not being a welcoming environment for certain pets, such as a cat or a dog.
Fortunately, there are some pets that are allowed in apartments that provide companionship without being high maintenance. Here are some pets that are apartment friendly.
• Fish
Fish add life to any room without interfering with daily activities. Pet fish come in many different varieties which make it easy to find one that will fit the atmosphere of the apartment. Decorative fish tanks and aquarium stands can add to the household design.

• Hamsters
While fish are nice, many people who reside in apartments would prefer to have a pet that they can interact with. Hamsters are good for this need because they can be held and they like to be petted. Residents with children may find hamsters to be a nice pet for their child who want a safe animal to play with. Just keep an eye on the hamster and keep him in the cage. They like to hide in tight places and may run out of the door if given the chance.

• Snakes
Snakes are cool pets that may not be for everyone. Those who have pet snakes describe them as being friendly and nice to look at. Getting a snake from a pet store is the best option because they have been deemed safe as a household pet. A quality cage is a must-have for snakes to be sure that they do not escape. Be sure to check with the apartment rules before you bring home a snake because some apartment complexes do not welcome snakes.

Living in an apartment complex may limit the type of pet that you can have, but there are plenty of other choices available. Once the right pet is found, you can be sure you will have a companion for a long time!
